Talk about building a fishermen's memorial on St Andrew's Dock in Hull brought back memories of a trawlerman's home life for Mr G Wells, of Hessle.
He wrote: "To my mind, the ideal memorial would be to build a fisherman's house on the dock, Hessle Road-style, filled with 1940 to 1950 artefacts and built with recycled bricks and slates from houses demolished in Hawthorn Avenue.
