Abbie Eaton was just 10 years old when she first stepped into a racing kart. "I was at the Humber Bridge car park and, after a lot of persuasion, my dad finally let me have a go," she says.

"I still remember the buzz I got when I was driving around. Then, when I finally got on to a track, all I did was spin the kart because I was pushing too hard and going too fast on the cor ners."
