Summary


According to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, one person in 10 dies from being hit by a vehicle going 20mph, compared to five out of 10 at 30mph.

20mph zones were first introduced 15 years ago and studies have shown they have reduced accidents by about 60 per cent.
