Summary
At first it seems strange that drivers in particular would be concerned about the issue. It's not as if the average modern car has difficulty pancaking the fast food paper bags, polystyrene cola cups and builder's papers that seem ever-more present on the nation's roads in town and country.
But on reflection, perhaps it's not quite so odd. The main reason most of us get upset about litter-bugs is the visual effect it has on the areas we live, work and play in. Nobody likes to see rubbish lying around - and if you're spending time on the road you're likely to see more of it than most.
