2 009 seems to have gone by extremely fast and Hull, or at least some of the people from Hull, have done things they should be very proud of.
As my column will be full of Christmas and New Year events in the run-up to 2010, I thought I'd take this opportunity to highlight some of the things that have happened over the past year ... The Secret Millionaire visited Hull and gave The Warren Pounds 20,000 which they've invested in Warren Records, which in turn led them to produce the brilliant local album "State of the City". At roughly the same time, Purple Worm records were also releasing a cracking album, Best of Hull: Volume 1. They're both a good reminder of the talent in this city and what local musicians can produce when given the opportunity.
