Polling Station Change After Blaze at Bowls Club

Summary

BRIDLINGTON: A fire at Westgate Bowls Club in the Old Town means it will not be a polling station on local elections day.

The pavilion is usually used as a polling station and was due to be used for the local authority elections and Alternative Vote referendum on Thursday, May 5. Fire damage at the site has led East Riding Council's election team to move the polling station to a mobile unit outside Bridlington Sports Centre in Gypsey Road.
