Summary
Land originally reclaimed from the River Humber more than 40 years ago was converted back to mudflats and saltmarsh last year as part of a pounds7.5m flood defence scheme.
After years of rebuilding flood defences along the estuary, including a five-metre embankment along much of the river and the tidal barrier on the River Hull built in 1981, experts created breaches that flood carefully at selected sites.See the full content of this document
