I HOPE the tragic fire in Camberwell recently serves to show the chief fire officer of Humberside and his advisers how dangerous and shortsighted were his plans of last year for the closure or further reduction in level of cover at Hull Central Fire Station.
With so many similar high-rise flats in the central Myton area, only three or four minutes away from the Central Fire Station, any thoughts he may have had of resurrecting those plans must surely now be completely abandoned.See the full content of this document
