POPPY Appeal organisers have praised the "fantastic and immediate" response of Mail readers to their desperate plea for volunteers. As reported in the Mail yesterday, the Hull branch of the Royal British Legion said it faced losing out on much-needed donations this year due to a shortage of helpers.
