Love them or loathe them, Home Information Packs (HIPS) have been part of our lives for two years. The controversial packs were introduced for houses with three bedrooms or more in June 2007 and recent changes have cemented their role in the buying and selling of properties in England.
The scheme was rolled out for every home in England in December 2007 but, on April 6 of this year, the rules surrounding HIPs were tightened up, meaning a home can not be marketed until a HIP is in place.See the full content of this document
