SHONTAYNE Hape performed the haka before each of his 14 Test appearances for New Zealand's rugby league team - but now he is ready to stare down the famous war dance as England's resident Maori.

Hape has now been confirmed as England's starting inside centre for the Twickenham showdown with New Zealand after Martin Johnson made just one change from the side that beat Australia 21-20 in June.
