BONHAMS auction house is to sell a remarkable pair of Nicholas Hilliard portraits depicting Queen Elizabeth I and Robert Dudley, the 1st Earl of Leicester, at its Knightsbridge showroom, in London, tomorrow.
The portraits measure just 18mm high, but the valuable lot, dating from 1575, is expected to fetch between Pounds 60,000 and Pounds 80,000 as part of the Merchiston collection of fine portrait miniatures.See the full content of this document
