WITH Division Two leaders Clifton Alliance II not in action, Beverley Town II grabbed the opportunity to return to the head of the pack with a three-wicket win at New Earswick.

Town's bowling duo of Bradley Dobson (3-17) and Ian Goforth (3- 15) presented the home batsmen with problems and only Neil Smallwood's 32no enabled Earswick to make 116-8. Andy Freeman then took 6 for 48 but, again, one batsman stood out as his team-mates floundered.
