The 2008/2009 hockey season for Skegness Ladies began with their first ever entry into the 2NW division of the East League, giving the ladies a chance to play a better level of hockey and face new challenges after becoming runners up in the previous season.

The team rose exceptionally well to these challenges, making every game close, however not being as successful at scoring, this meant that the end result was often unrepresentative of the battles fought and great hockey played by Skegness.
