There's no point driving to the other end of the country without experiencing everything it has to offer. So when the question came: do we try Devon or Dorset? The obvious answer was, why not both? So with the prospect of experiencing both the south coast resorts of Dorset and the northern coast of Devon, with a long weekend at Wollacombe Bay Holiday Park, we embarked on the long journey south with our five-year-old, Poppy, and three-year-old, Tilly, wedged in the back among the suitcases enjoying their portable Disney DVDs.

To kick-start our week-long camping sojourn at Norden Farm campsite, in Devon's picturesque Isle Of Purbeck, and as a special treat for the kids not driving us mad on the journey down, we began with a visit to Peppa Pig World, along the coast near Southampton (visit www.peppapigworld.co.uk).
