Summary


WHEN Ian Ashbee gets back to full fitness he might have to wait a little longer for his return to action. There is talk of him being ready to play first-team football before the end of the season but, with the way City's midfield are playing, he will have to fight for his spot back. During his absence, others have passed Ashbee in the pecking order with Tom Cairney and George Boateng holding the central positions.

The Tigers also have Jimmy Bullard due back from injury and Seyi Olofinjana waiting to get back in the team after his African Cup of Nations adventure with Nigeria. The one thing Ashbee has in his game that the others don't is true leadership qualities. He also has a great fighting spirit, which he is going to have to call on to win back his place following his latest knee injury.
